Velo Baseball Misson Statement
At Virginia Velo Baseball we believe few activities hold as much promise for personal growth and athletic development as baseball. Within this landscape, we can provide player development, skills improvement, teaching overall feel for the game, and most importantly sharpening mental tools for success and failures in and outside of the game of baseball. We strive to provide premium college & pro level instruction to improve our game, while placing a stout standard on character building and self-actualization. We stress the following as the foundation of our principles: Integrity, Mental Strength, Sportsmanship, and Respect for self and others. All of which take no skill in order to thrive. At Velo Baseball all players are encouraged to lead by example, both on and off the field, embodying the principles of integrity and teamwork in all their endeavors. By nurturing these character traits, Virginia Velo Baseball prepares players for success not only in baseball but also in life, equipping them with the tools to overcome challenges and to become the best human beings they can be.
Our ultimate goal for each player in the Velo baseball program is to develop players into competitive, dedicated, and confident high school players that aspire to grow as individuals and play beyond high school. Velo Baseball can prepare players for the next level based on experience coaches will bring and top level instruction, combined with over the top efforts to have players showcased and marketed. Velo Baseball will bring knowledge of the game and tools for success for each player that comes through the program. We will teach players the type of hard work, dedication, and relentlessness it takes to have each player become the best version of themselves as a person and player. Player and person development will be the driving force to success --- success being a well rounded player and person.
